LCC analysis shows great potential in the field of construction. Thus, the need to integrate LCC analysis within decision-making has been recognized by most infrastructure providers and managers worldwide, especially the Swedish Transport Administration. The course shows basic and latest LCC analysis knowledge in the field of infrastructure. The course describes LCC analysis rules and procedures used by Trv in planning and management of bridges and roads. Several real case studies are presented. Practical deployment pass is included to train participants on the use of infraLCC tools (formerly called BaTMan-LCC) currently used by Trv for LCC analysis of bridges.
Course goals are to give;
- Increased knowledge of LCC analysis for investment, operation and maintenance of bridges and roads
- Knowledge and follow-up of Trafikverket’s latest requirements regarding LCC analysis of bridges and roads and how this requirement can be met.
- Practical knowledge of how to benefit from the BaTMan “bridge and tunnel management system” at LCC analysis for bridges
- Practical knowledge of LCC analysis for real case studies in new investment and maintenance of bridges and roads.
- Experience about the use of LCC analysis tools (infraLCC)
This course is an updated version of the course given to some specialists at the Swedish Transport Administration in 2012/2013.
The main content of the course
The course includes lectures, infraLCC depression pass, exercises and project assignment. Theories and methods for LCC analysis when planning, investing, repairing and upgrading bridges and roads. The course deals with all LCC analysis applications in all project stages.
